This is the online home of the Ram’s Horn, the Aitz Chaim congregation newsletter. The Great Falls Hebrew Association has published the Ram’s Horn on a monthly basis since at least 1984.

The Ram’s Horn contains more than just our congregation schedule. Inside this bulletin, you can find articles of Jewish wisdom, thoughts from our rabbi, recipes, jokes and, of course, lots of photos. The Ram’s Horn is part of the glue that holds our Jewish community together in Northcentral Montana.

Subscriptions to the Ram’s Horn are no charge to congregation members. The subscription rate for non-members is $36/year. An archive of Ram’s Horn issues going back to September, 2003, is available at the left sidebar of this page.

To congregation members and former members: If you have copies of the Ram’s Horn older than September, 2003, please let us know! We would love to scan them in and add them to this historical archive.

  1. I was watching the 2nd Israeli Channal, have seen that even in Montana, in a small 60,000 peoples city of Great Falls, there is a jewish community – amaising and unbelievable!

  2. I was stationed at Malmstrom 1979-1980 and was a Jewish lay leader. We had services at the base chapel then; otherwise, the small Great Falls community was unorganized. I am delighted to find that the Jewish community in Great Falls not only survives but has formed a Reform Congregation. I miss Montana even more now!

    • Hi Jennifer, as Covid remains a problem, we weren’t sure that any of us should go to a school, as most of our congregation is in the “at risk” category. However, I am a bus driver, and in contact with kids daily so I should be able to assist, if you would like. Can you give me a call to talk further? My number is 231-9570.
